Olayiwola Ajala is a Senior Lecturer and the Head of Department, Wood and Paper Technology. He has a Ph.D in Wood and Fibre Science from the University of Ibadan, a Master of Science (M. Sc)in Wood Science, and a Bachelor of Science (B. Sc) in Forest Resources Management from the same University. He also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from the Usmanu Dan Fodio University, Sokoto. Dr. Ajala attended 0livet Baptist High School, Oyo for his secondary education.

He is a member of the College Management Member College Academic Board, Member, College Research and Training Committee to mention but a few. He has well over two decades of teaching experience covering all strata of education. A seasoned researcher and lecturer, he has supervised about 30 Higher National Diploma and not less than 25 National Diploma project students of the College in Wood Science and Forestry related disciplines.

Dr Ajala has published about 20 peered reviewed articles in local and international journals and about 20 publications in both local and international conferences in Wood Science and Forestry. He has also co-authored a chapter in a book on Renewable Natural Resources Engineering.

He has served in various capacities relating to students' well-being within the College. Dr Ajala belongs to many professional bodies such as Commonwealth Forestry Association, Forestry Association of Nigeria where he is currently the sate chapter's Assistant secretary(FAN. Despite his tight Academic schedule, Dr Ajala still has time to present motivational speeches and spread the gospel. He hails from Iresi in Boluwaduro Local Government Area of Osun state. He is happily married and the union is blessed with children.
