Dr. Abiola, I.O. is a Principal Lecturer at Federal College of Forestry Ibadan. He obtained his Ph.D in Pomology from the Federal University of Technology, Abeokuta, and his M. Agric. in Horticulture from the same University. His Bachelor of Technology in Crop Production was obtained from Federal University of Technology, Akure. He attended Oke-Ado High School, Oke-Ado, Ibadan where he obtained his West African School Certificate (WAEC).

He was the Pioneer H.O.D for the Department of Crop production Technology in the College. He has served in various capacities before being appointed as H.O.D. He served as Hostel Warden, Dean of Students, Chairman Senior Staff Disciplinary Committee, Chairman Junior Staff Disciplinary Committee, Chairman FEDCOFIB and H.O.D of Horticulture and Landscape Technology. He is currently the Deputy Provost/Academic Officer and Chairman of Business Committee of the College. He has to his credit over forty publications of journals and proceedings both Local and International. He also belongs to the following bodies: Forestry Association of Nigeria, Horticultural Society of Nigeria, Nigerian Field Society, Nigerian Institute of Landscape Horticulturist and International Society for Horticultural science.

Dr Abiola, I.O. is happily married and the union is blessed with children.
