The idea to establish a consultancy service for the College was muted in May 2010. FEDCOFIB is the acronym from Federal College of Forestry Ibadan and necessary steps were taken to register the company, a Certificate of Incorporation was issued for the FEDCOFIB Consultancy Services Limited by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) on 2nd March 2011.
The company offices are located within the Federal College of Forestry Ibadan premises and the Memorandum of Association includes:
Carrying out the business of consultancy services in forestry, wildlife management, agroforestry forest products utilization, as well as agricultural and livestock farming. The FEDCOFIB is also to carry on the business of general contracts, import and export, trading, marketing, sales and distribution of general goods, commission; to buy and sell articles of different descriptions as well as carry on business as land and real estate dealers and to engage in real estate development and so on.

Dr. Wahab, Olasumbo Monsurat is a Senior Lecturer and currently serving in the capacity of the Director, FEDCOFIB Consultancy Services Ltd, Federal College of Forestry, Ibadan. She attended Saint David’s Grammar School Kudeti, Ibadan where she obtained West African School Certificate in the year 1986. Dr. Wahab O. M proceeded to Federal Government Girls College, Oyo where a Higher School Certificate was obtained in 1988. A Bachelor of Science (B. Sc.) Honours in Botany was obtained from University of Ibadan in 1995 and a Master’s Degree of Economic Botany in 2005. She developed interest in Plant taxonomy and this prompted a pursuit of another Master’s Degree of Science in Botany with Plant taxonomy as her area of specialization in 2008 as well as a Ph. D. in Botany (Plant taxonomy and Biosystematics) in 2019 at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan. She is a member of some Learned societies which include Botanical Society of Nigeria, Forestry Association of Nigeria, The Nigerian Field Society and Science Association of Nigeria. She has been teaching Plant science related courses such as Plant taxonomy, Forest botany and Herbarium, Crop physiology and Plant pathology.
