The Internal Audit Department was formerly a Unit and became a fully-fledged department on 27th March, 2014.

The department plays a crucial role in ensuring effective and efficient management of government resources in accordance with International accounting standard (IAS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Public Sector Accounting Standard (IPSAS)

The departmental carries out periodic (quarterly, half year and annual) audit exercise on the books of account and other crucial areas of operations of the college and monitors the internal control put in place by the management in order to ensure its efficiency  and also proper utilization of government resources.

The periodic audit also entails examining the financial books and records of the college, asses the overall operation and obtain the sufficient evidence to give an opinion on the financial position.
