Works And Estate Department is one OF the Non–Academic Departments of the Federal College Of Forestry, Ibadan. It comprises of Artisans, Engineers, Technical Officers, Works Superintendent, Lands Officers etc functioning in various Sections of the Department. The different Sections are as follows:
The Department has been actively involved in the renovation of Staff Q uarters,Student Hostels Buildings,Academic Buildings,supervision of on going building constructions within the College premises and also carrie s out regular fire tracing to prevent fire outbreaks and encroachment wit hin the College boundary.
The Department currently has 20 nos of staff ably led by the Head Of D epartment,Esv(Mrs) Fawunmi,B.O(Msc,Anivs,Rsv,Phd in view).
The Bursary Department is typically headed by the Bursar, who reports directly to the Provost. Supporting the Bursar are various units, each responsible for specific aspects of the department’s operations:
Esv (Mrs) Fawunmi, Bamitale Olabisi is a seasoned Estate Surveyor a nd Valuer,Housing and Facility Manager who has been in practice for al most 3 decades. After the completion of the mandatory National Youth service in 1995 she started her career in the private sector where shew orked before joining the public service at Federal College Of Forestry,lba dan more than 20 years ago.
She completed her Secondary School at St Anne’s School,Molete lbada n in 1986, had her National Diploma(ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Estate Management from the Polytechnic Ibadan in 1990 and 1993 respectively. She acquired her Master of Science(MSc) Degree in Housing Development and Management from the University of Ibadan i n year 2007 and currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy(PhD) Degree i n Built Environment( in view).
Professionally she’s been a member of the Nigerian Institution of Esta te Surveyor and Valuer, Oyo State Branch since 2009. She became an A ssociate Member of the Nigerian institution of Estate Surveyors And Val uer(ANIESV) in year 2013 and a Chartered Member of The Estate Surveyor And Valuer Registration Board Of Nigeria (RSV) in 2014 when she acquired her professional Stamp and Seal. She has attended various Man datory Continuous Professional Development Workshops (MCPD) at bot h State and National levels, attended Annual National Conferences,auth ored and co–authored many articles and presented seminar papers to co ntinually increase in knowledge in her chosen field.
Esv (Mrs) Fawunmi,by training recognizes that the acquisition and ins tallation of infrastructures can be capital intensive and frequent usage c an easily wear them out, but the application of various professional strategies can keep them going for a longer period of time and functioning perfectly for their purpose of acquisition. She ensures through profession alism that there‘s reduced equipment downtime, prolonged life span of buildings and kept these infrastructures at a satisfactory level that guar antees continual accreditation and re–accreditation of the various cours es offered in the Federal College Of Forestry Ibadan by the National Board for Technical Education(NBTE)
